Second Chance for Strays is an IRS approved 501(c)(3) charitable organization dedicated to finding loving homes for shelter, homeless and abandoned cats of ALL breeds. We are NOT a shelter, but a small group of unpaid volunteers who foster cats in our homes where they are loved as our own, until a suitable permanent home is found. 100% of your donation goes to the cats directly via veterinary care, food, supplies and training to prepare our cats for their forever homes.
Federal determination of charitable status is confirmed in the IRS Letter of Determination. Tax returns for the organization can be viewed on the Guide Star website. Our Federal Tax ID is 59-3609184.
